The French built Ba Na Hills as a hill station and resort in 1919. A French captain called Debay found Ba Na while searching for a good location to set up a resort. Following that, the colonial administration made significant investments there, transforming it into a popular vacation spot. However, Ba Na eventually vanished when Vietnam was torn apart by warfare. “Sleeping Beauty” did not reawaken to tremendous fame until ten years ago. Due to the abundance of bananas in the area outside of this establishment, the moniker “Ba Na” was born. War and the passage of time have gradually turned this place forlorn for almost a century. But thanks to the efforts of local officials and residents, Ba Na Hills has been awakened since the turn of the century. These beautiful areas are being improved and enlarged.
Most people take day trips from Da Nang, however, I strongly advise you to stay overnight to experience the local French culture. As soon as the day excursion tours arrive, the area becomes packed. Therefore, if you choose to stay, you must do it in the Mercure Danang French Village Bana Hills in order to fully experience this location. In the midst of the Ba Na mountain’s clouds, this magnificent hotel conjures up the image of a charming French village while offering visitors the ideal resort amenities.
Designed in the 19th-century French Gothic style, with intricately carved domes, vintage bee bricks, or poetic windows. I adored the French setting with its traditional romantic elegance. The Mercure Danang French Village Bana Hills looks like a charming castle from the exterior, and its opulent interior decor is equally impressive. The gothic style European architecture is beautiful. You can spend hours walking around the alleys and admiring these buildings. The resort offers excellent facilities and high-quality guest accommodations. All of the rooms here are decorated in a traditional French manner and have windows that look out into the French village or the Ba Na mountain with clouds in the sky. If you stay at the hotel property you’ll get earlier access to attractions like Golden Bridge, Alpine Coaster, Amusement Park etc. There’s also an indoor temperature controlled pool and a fitness centre. Amazing right?
Visitors are welcomed by a charming village of bridges, statues, and water features at Ba Na Hills which is designed to resemble the town of Hoi An. One of the top ten most outstanding cable systems in the world, Ba Na is well known for its Swiss-based cable network. The cable car’s architecture is straightforward and efficient so that people can ride it to the summit swiftly and safely before being stunned by the breathtaking views. A total of 3,000 passengers can be transported in an hour by 201 cabins in about 17 minutes from the bottom to the top. Ba Na Hills is a vibe at night of the town, dancing and the cool weather is just an amazing experience.
