The hotel was a hunting lodge back in the day and was also converted into a boarding school for a brief time but was later restored by the ITC Group and turned into a luxurious stay keeping the history intact.

The bar here is artistically designed and very inspiring. Even if you’re not a hotel guest, you can visit and enjoy a drink at Writer’s Bar. The vibe here is sure to pierce you. You can pick up a book on Ruskin bonds from the bar and read it. It’s great.

The Grand Dining Room is simply the perfect place where you can dine with your friends and family and have a great time here.  The dining room offers a range of delectable dishes to all its visitors. Choose the dish that you think best suits your tangling buds.  Here, you can dig into some of the most scrumptious dishes that chef experts prepare.  Starting from Continental, Chinese and Indian, you can get a range of dishes to choose from. Savoy offers Garhwali Sthalika, a Himalayan cuisine full of exotic and traditional dishes chosen exclusively from the region. We were given a large bronze thali full of local Uttarakhand dishes and it was so delicious. 

You cannot miss visiting the Savoy Post office within the hotel. You can walk down the memory lane when you visit a century old post office. We heard unique stories about the Savoy and the town of Mussoorie in the evening. They had also set up a bonfire for us. Soak into the warmth of a bonfire and enjoy the captivating storytelling sessions along with hi-tea. You can’t also not miss the Change of Guard ceremony just like it was done in the British Era.
